The firm is seeking a Tennessee-licensed litigation attorney. The candidate will meet with clients, perform legal research; create case strategies; draft pleadings, motions, and written discovery, conduct depositions, and organize and marshal matters through trial. The applicant will also be called upon to draft business formation documents, estate documents, and contracts.
The ideal applicant must have superior interpersonal skills, work well under pressure, be proactive, highly motivated, independent, dependable, and eager to learn. Communication and respect for other team members is imperative.
This position offers a unique opportunity for an attorney to learn and grow, starting with an immediate client base and income source. There is also potential to utilize existing expertise in other practice areas to increase earning potential. The position includes conference space, administrative staff, research tools, drafting software, and an extensive forms database.
Requirements
- Manage litigation matters through trial.
- Research and analyze complex legal issues.
- Prepare business formation documents, contracts, leases, and court pleadings.
- Conduct in-person and remote consultations with potential and existing clients.
- Prepare estate planning documents, including wills, revocable living trusts, and powers of attorney.
- Actively licensed and in good standing with the Tennessee State Bar.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and aptitude for learning other software programs.
